Anthony Lai


Dr. Anthony Lai earned his Medical Degree in 1977 at the University of the West Indies Medical School. Following his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta, Canada (1977-1978), he completed additional fellowship training in (Maternal Fetal Medicine and Surgical ICU) at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital (1982-1984).

From 1985 to 1993 Dr. Lai became Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Miami and from 1990-1993 He was also the Medical Director of Labor and Delivery for Jackson Memorial Hospital University of Miami. In April 1993 he joined South Florida Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Lai is Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Lai has been published widely in peer review journals, books/chapters and has done several presentations throughout the years in OB/GYN and high-risk pregnancy. He is a recipient of the George Paff faculty teaching award at U Miami medical school and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor medical society.
