Sheila Castillo, APRN is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born in New York and raised in Miami since the age of 5; so, she considers herself a Miami native who enjoys her adopted hometown!
After completing her Associates of Science in Nursing from Miami Dade College, she dedicated over eight years of her career to Women’s Health. She began her journey at Planned Parenthood as an RN and transitioned the Level I Labor and Delivery Unit at Jackson Health System where she spent seven years developing her skills as a high-risk obstetrical RN. After obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Florida International University in 2019, she was driven to obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing; with the hopes of continuing to care for high-risk obstetrical patients at the provider level. Her passion for Women’s Health and now Maternal Fetal Medicine continues to fuel her curiosity and desire to help women from all walks of life.
In her practice at South Florida Perinatal Medicine, she enjoys working in a collaborative effort with our Perinatologists and fellow APRN to provide the best possible care to our high-risk patients. Sheila is dedicated to ensuring her patients have a complete understanding of the complications that can or have arisen in their pregnancy.
